NEATV Star Jared Gessner To Race Snocross For Team Southside

North Adams, Massachusetts- Each year Team Southside Polaris seeks the most talented riders that have the capability to not only successfully race a singular winter, but who also possess the ability to climb the ranks in Snocross over time. Therefore, this year, Team Southside Polaris welcomes Pro-NEATV rider Jared Gessner to the team for the 2016 winter season.

Jared Gessner is a seasoned ATV Motocross rider, having raced in the NEATV series for five years. He has very quickly risen up through the ranks, making drastic improvements each year in the sport. After a tough Pro Rookie season in 2014 where Jared landed a spot on the podium only twice, he nearly quadrupled his number of podium finishes in 2015. This improvement was largely the result of Jared’s intensified training schedule in addition to improvements to his machine. Though everyone in the Pro class is talented, Team Southside Polaris admired Jared’s consistent drive and motivation to better himself and his riding to achieve desired race results. Jared is willing to put in the necessary time to achieve success both during the week and throughout the off-season, which will be essential during his transition into the new sport this winter.

Team Southside Polaris has a long history of successfully recruiting and transitioning riders from ATV Motocross to SnoCross. Upon the recruitment of Cody Paolella three years prior, Cody had no previous experience on a sled. Cody went on to win five SnoCross championships including his recent 2015 championship in the Pro Lite class. Cody also notably earned a spot on the podium after his race in the Sport Class on the ISOC National circuit. Other riders who have successfully achieved success after their transition from ATV Racing include Andy Cummings (2 championships), Ryan Dupont (1 championship), Kellie Moran (2 runner ups), and Travis Moore (multiple podium finishes). None of these riders had ever ridden a snowmobile before riding for Team Southside Polaris.

Fortunately, Jared has been riding a snowmobile since he was a small child and possesses the essential base knowledge required to race a snowmobile. Team Southside Polaris is looking forward to working with Jared during the 2016 race season and anticipates seeing what he can do during his first year. Team Southside is confident that Jared’s motivation and physical fitness will allow him to easily make the transition from his Yamaha YFZ-450 to the Polaris IQ-R race sled.
